DANIEL SUISSA

With an eye for aesthetics and a passion for innovation, Dr. Suissa is reimagining the future of cosmetic surgery.

After earning a master’s degree in Clinical Epidemiology from McGill University, Dr. Suissa completed his medical school and plastic surgery training at Université de Montréal in Canada. There, he received the Canadian Plastic Surgery Board certification and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons.

To solidify his plastic surgery skills and technique, Dr. Suissa completed an aesthetic fellowship at the university of Toronto, where he was trained by some of the world’s top aesthetic plastic surgeons. He went on to complete an additional fellowship with a specialization in cosmetic breast surgery at Yale University.

Dr. Suissa’s leading-edge specialization put him at the forefront of the latest techniques, allowing him to expand his focus to the safety and effectiveness of new clinical techniques. Soon after founding Squlpt, he invented and developed SoftSqulpt, a revolutionary 360 awake liposuction and fat transfer innovation that is safe, gentle and close to pain-free.

Dr. Suissa was recently appointed a member of the Safety Task Force for BBL Surgery. He’s also authored multiple research articles on plastic surgery, including one of the most peer-reviewed articles on safety protocols for BBL procedures.

Known for his laser-sharp focus and warm, compassionate approach, Dr. Suissa pushes the boundaries of innovation and merges cutting-edge techniques to achieve natural-looking, flawless results.

Boasting impeccable credentials and a wealth of experience, Dr. Cusano is an invaluable asset to the Squlpt surgical team.

Dr. Cusano is qualified in both plastic surgery and maxillofacial surgery, completing his training in the former at the University of California’s Davis Medical Center and in the latter at the University of California in San Francisco.

Having honed his craft for many years, Dr. Cusano’s work strikes the perfect balance between technical expertise and impressive artistry. His patients appreciate his warm and personal approach, and feel comfortable and confident in his capable hands.

In recognition of his professional accomplishments and dedication to surgical excellence, Dr. Cusano is a Fellow of The American College of Surgeons, a Fellow of the American Head & Neck Society and a Founding Fellow of The American Academy of Craniomaxillofacial Surgeons.

KRIYA GISHEN

MD

Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon

Dr. Gishen is an accomplished plastic and craniofacial surgeon who specializes in aesthetics. As a formally trained sculptor, she brings her keen eye for shapes and proportions to the operating room, where she deftly balances the art and science of liposuction and body contouring.

Dr. Gishen completed her plastic surgery training at the University of Miami in Florida—one of the top schools for body contouring in the country. To further her training, she accepted a craniofacial fellowship position at the University of California Los Angeles, which is one of the most prestigious craniofacial programs in the United States. Here, she trained with some of the best facial aesthetics and reconstruction specialists in the world.

A master of her craft, Dr. Gishen is highly specialized in rhinoplasty and facial feminization, which includes procedures like hairline recontouring, brow lift, blepharoplasty, jaw recontouring, chin augmentation, liposuction of the neck, facial fat grafting, abdominoplasty and body contouring.

Committed to continued learning, Dr. Gishen has published several book chapters and peer-reviewed articles on craniofacial reconstruction and has reviewed leading surgical journals, including the Journal of Craniofacial Surgery. For her research on the treatment of vascular malformations in infants, Dr. Gishen was awarded the prestigious Alan Livingstone and Robert Zeppa research awards.

Outside the operating room, Dr. Gishen has received countless national awards for her artwork, particularly for sculpture and photography. She completed her art training at Brown University and the Rhode Island School of Design, which is consistently ranked as the number one school for fine arts training in the U.S. She is also a trained anatomic illustrator and has illustrated numerous plastic surgery textbooks and articles.

Along with her unmatched understanding of body contours, the interplay of light and shapes, and visual perception, Dr. Gishen brings a warmth and ease to everything she does, always putting the safety, comfort and satisfaction of her patients first.

When Dr. Gishen isn’t operating, she enjoys sculpting, painting, gardening and traveling—especially with surgical mission groups to perform cleft lip and palate repairs in under-served countries. She also enjoys spending time with her family and hiking with her Teacup puppies, Yogi and Tokyo.

THOMAS CHUNG

MD

Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon

Dr. Chung brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Squlpt team. He is board certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery, and is an elected member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Dr. Chung completed his plastic surgery training at the prestigious Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was extensively trained in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. Having participated in numerous research projects, he has authored numerous publications in world-renowned plastic surgery journals, and has been recognized with countless awards and accolades, including the America’s Top Plastic Surgeons Award.

After completing his plastic surgery training, Dr. Chung served in the U.S. Navy as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. During this time, he played a significant role in the Wounded Warrior Project, performing reconstructive care on countless casualties returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. Dr. Chung has also participated in several global humanitarian missions in under-served countries aboard U.S. Navy hospital ships. As an executive leader, Dr. Chung has held various medical positions in the Navy, including Chair of the Medical Executive Committee, Director of Surgical Services and Chief Medical Officer.

Passionate about aesthetics and body contouring, Dr. Chung loves helping people look and feel their best by getting rid of unwanted fat with liposuction and using that fat to enhance other areas of the body.  Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son, playing the piano, cooking and exploring the world.

ROBERT REY

Robert Rey - Squlptbody Surgeon

Dr. Robert Rey is an accomplished plastic and reconstructive surgeon, scientist, artist and author. His education took him from coast to coast, obtaining his medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, his general surgery residency at the University of California (UCLA), and his plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.

Dr. Rey went on to earn a fellowship at Harvard Medical School’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where he focused on aesthetic surgery. This fellowship introduced him to minimal-scar surgical techniques like endoscopy, fiber optics and lasers.

Dr. Rey is world-renowned for his skills and experience in mommy makeovers, daddy makeovers, Brazilian Butt Lifts, abdominoplasty and breast augmentation procedures (both implants and fat transfer). His work has been published in some of the world’s most prestigious medical journals, including the Harvard Journal of Public Policy, the Journal of Hand Surgery and the Journal of Craniofacial Surgery. He also served in the Office of the United States Surgeon General, and worked as the health policy speech writer for the former U.S. General Surgeon, C. Everett Koop.

In his spare time, Dr. Rey enjoys hiking with his kids, practicing martial arts and gardening.

GENE K. LEE

Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon

A Los Angeles native, Dr. Gene K. Lee spent time in Seoul, South Korea, before returning to the U.S. to pursue his education in medicine. After graduating from Washington University with a BS in Biological Sciences and a minor in Philosophy, Neuroscience and Psychology, he attended the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston, where he earned his master’s in Public Health.

From there, Dr. Lee earned a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Ohio, and went on to complete dual residencies in general surgery and plastic & reconstructive surgery at the University of Southern California (USC). During this time, he received the prestigious USC Broad Stem Cell and Regenerative Research Award to pursue a research sabbatical during his training.

Dr. Lee has given countless presentations and has been published in several prestigious medical journals throughout his career. Passionate about the arts, one of the most rewarding parts of his career is combining his love of science and artistry to achieve beautiful results for his clients.

In his free time, Dr. Lee enjoys traveling with his wife, immersing himself in art, and exploring the connections between art and fashion. He also enjoys spending time with his Scottish Terrier, Wally, and American shorthair tabby cat, Hunter.

JAY JACKSON

Jay Jackson - Squlptbody Surgeon

A highly skilled plastic surgeon with decades of experience, Dr. Jackson earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma. He then completed his residency in general surgery at Michigan State University, and his plastic and reconstructive surgery training at the prominent research institution Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center.

Throughout his education, Dr. Jackson consistently ranked in the top percentile of his classes, receiving several honors and accolades. He served as Chief Resident in his general surgery residency and later as Plastic Surgery Chief Resident. With board certifications from the American Board of Surgery and American Board of Aesthetic Medicine, he has written publications and given presentations on various techniques, procedures and literature reviews.

Dr. Jackson is recognized for his precise and meticulous body contouring skills, and is committed to staying ahead of the latest industry research and techniques to deliver the best possible care for his clients. Boasting the ideal combination of medical knowledge, compassion and skillful expertise, he’s passionate about helping people achieve their health and physical improvement goals.

When he’s not taking care of clients or researching the latest industry innovations, Dr. Jackson enjoys reading, traveling, learning new things and spending time with his family.
